Producing a video that attempts to cover the entire gamut of sights and sounds in Sri Lanka is a daunting and prohibitively expensive task. PROimage has been working towards making this a reality through, painstakingly filming and collecting a selection of imagery that attempts to give the tourist, a walkthrough of the “main” sights around Sri Lanka. Due to the large number of tourist attractions spread over the country, the script has focused on covering the attractions most accessible in a limited timeframe. The whole production has been handled by a team of professionals including several talented Videographers and gamut of PROimage stock visuals collected and archived over a period of 10 years. In all the video contains close to 1500 clips shot at over 50 locations throughout the country. All visuals have been shot on Broadcast quality cameras and reproduced to the highest DVD standards. To augment the visuals, specially composed, localized music tracks have been used to give the production an added dimension. The video is menu driven enabling the viewer to select a certain region of the country for viewing if so desired. This video (DVD) is an ideal souvenir as well as travel reference for the tourist, who seeks a visual guide to the country’s sights and sounds.
